The Sunsets
 

Karoo sunsets are often colourful and dramatic. In Nieu Bethesda the quality of light at certain times of the day is perfect for photography. 

Not only the sunsets, but the starlit nights are breathtaking. Sometimes the stars seem to hang so low, you want to reach out and pluck one from the sky.

We get light snow in the village every winter and heavy snow once in a while. It changes our world into a magical wonderland where people big and small turn into kids and enjoy the snow.
